JOSHUA ZANZE was the first recipient of the Camerata's "Emerging Young Artist Scholarship Program". He is a young bass-baritone who has been working closely with the Townsend Opera Players in Modesto, CA for the past three years and is the first recipient of Camerata California's "Emerging Young Artist Scholarship Program." His roles with TOP include King Balthazar in Amahl and the Night Visitors, the Speaker in Die Zauberflote, Pritschtisch in The Merry Widow, The Prince of Verona in Romeo and Juliet and The Imperial Commissioner in Madam Butterfly. In addition to his work in Modesto he has also worked extensively with the North Star Opera Reperatory Theater in Redding, CA, appearing in their productions of Gianni Schicci, La Boheme, and many others. Mr. Zanze is currently a senior Vocal Performance major at CSU Stanislaus and plans to attend the Peabody Institute of the John Hopkins University for his Masters in the fall. |
